Our inspection reports include a careful panel by panel external visual inspection of the vehicle including paint condition, rust, evidence of body filler and poor panel alignment. We check for signs of body flexing stress cracks resulting from a weakening body frame. We also inspect the undercarriage looking for evidence of major collision repairs, corrosion, fluid leaks, or any obvious recent repairs that may indicate existing or future problems. We visually inspect the interior including seats, carpets, trim, instrumentation and electrical equipment. We also investigate for signs of water infiltration and condition of floor pans. We scan the OBD-II system for diagnostic trouble codes and the status of the vehicle emission control monitors on 1996 and newer light duty cars & trucks. We test-drive the vehicle to evaluate any detectible problems in the engine, clutch, transmission, differential, steering, suspension and brakes under various driving conditions.
